How it works
3d-asset-quality
When your agent uses it
Model what a 3D object is, not merely its outline, and prove quality with geometry-only close-up renders plus a manifest. Use before building, generating, importing, cleaning, reviewing, or signing off on meshes, props, buildings, terrain, environments, levels, dioramas, and set dressing in Blender, game engines, glTF workflows, or image-to-3D tools. Requires functional parts, bevelled light-catching edges, real thickness, and the same standard for every asset.

The playbook
- The rule
- Why the rule exists
- The loop
- More than ~3 assets? Load `asset-judge-loop` too
- Step 1 — List the functional parts before you model
- Step 2 — Work from the image target when there is one
- Step 3 — Bevel every edge, give every surface thickness
- Step 4 — Run the acceptance test
- Rendering: respect machine constraints, and never fake acceptance with a viewport grab
- The deliverable: renders plus a manifest
- Generated assets get no exemption — and the bake route is the strong version
- Bundled files

When your agent uses it
The build→judge→rebuild loop for MULTI-asset 3D work — whenever a scene, environment, village, level, diorama or any batch of more than ~3 assets is being built (in Blender, via MCP, procedurally, or by generation), and especially when builder subagents are doing the work. The parent orchestrates; builders never self-certify; every "done" claim triggers a FRESH independent judge subagent that sees only renders, manifest and references, and the loop repeats until the judge passes or the operator stops. Exists to defeat effort dilution — the measured failure where 3 assets get real craft and 6 ship as boxes — and score-gaming via shaders/lighting while geometry rots. Load it at task start, alongside 3d-asset-quality, whenever the work is bigger than one object.

# The judge loop: nobody passes their own work
Companion to `3d-asset-quality`, which defines the bar for ONE asset. This skill defines how a
BATCH of assets actually reaches that bar. Load both.
## The two failure modes this exists to kill
Both were observed, repeatedly, on real runs:
1. **Effort dilution.** Told to build nine assets to the same bar, a model spends real craft on
three and ships six as textured boxes. The wider the scope, the worse the spread. No prompt
wording fixes this — the builder's own "done" is the broken instrument, so done must be a
verdict someone else issues.
2. **Score gaming by global levers.** When a score exists, models drift to shaders, lighting andView the complete source on GitHubcodex-subagent
When your agent uses it
Run OpenAI Codex CLI as an external subagent from Claude Code, either once or as a parallel fanout, through hardened codex-sub and codex-fanout wrappers. Use for independent review, cross-model judging, structured second opinions, image analysis, or isolated passes over files and subsystems, especially when the user says "ask Codex", "ask GPT", "cross-check this", or requests parallel independent workers. Load before invoking the codex binary directly so prompts, timeouts, schemas, images, and run artifacts follow the safe wrapper contract.

Plan and route a game or playable 3D demo through art direction, sandbox, environment, character, assembly, atmosphere, gameplay, and shipping. Use at the start of any game-shaped project or when replanning one mid-flight. Coordinates reference-pack-authority, asset-judge-loop, 3d-asset-quality, and verify-by-playing, with a playable placeholder sandbox required before production assets.

# Image-To-3D Modular Kit
Use this skill when the deliverable is a set of images that will be fed into an image-to-3D
service, then assembled, retopologized, rigged, fitted, or cloth-simmed in Blender, Unreal, or
another game engine. The output is a reconstruction pack: geometry guidance first, pretty
concept art second.
When available, also load:
- An image-generation skill or tool for generating or editing the raster reference plates.
- `3d-asset-quality` before deciding what each module needs to show as real geometry.
## Core Rule
View the complete source on GitHubreference-pack-authority
When your agent uses it
How to structure, audit and use a GENERATED reference/concept-art pack before building a 3D world from it — the art-direction stage's exit gate. Load this whenever generating target images (Claude with an image tool, Meshy, or any image model), whenever receiving a reference pack for an environment/level/world build, and BEFORE the first geometry is authored against images. Covers the two-tier authority split (technical plates govern geometry, cinematics govern fidelity), the congruence pass that catches a pack contradicting itself, printed-figures-over-drawn-geometry, spec-as-text, and the circularity and prompt-reuse traps. Exists because a pack of individually plausible images can describe mutually contradictory worlds, so congruence must be manufactured, never assumed.

# A generated pack is N plausible worlds, not one
## The failure class — why this is structural, not a model problem
No current image model carries a 3D representation between generations. Tested directly on a
real pack: an image-to-image uplift of the project's own render, explicitly told to move
nothing, came back reframed with a landmark reproportioned; of four models given a 1920×1080
source, all returned 1024×1024 and three invented a third torii. **Each image is individually
plausible; nothing makes them mutually consistent.** A better model does not fix this. Structure
does.
What it cost, measured: a site plan drew the bridge parallel to the gate axis while the
cinematic showed it perpendicular — no camera reconciles them; the plan labelled one torii
where the pack elsewhere implied two; and site elevation was defined by NO image at all, soView the complete source on GitHubverify-by-playing

The gameplay acceptance gate — prove interactive software works by PLAYING it with real input, not by green gates, passing tests, code inspection or screenshots of stills. Load this whenever a gameplay change is claimed done, before shipping or demoing any playable build, after integrating a character, controls, camera, level geometry, combat or any input path, and whenever a test suite or validator is green on interactive software. Also load it when writing acceptance checks for a game, so the checks exercise the shipped input boundary rather than the internals. Exists because every gameplay defect one project shipped — dead keyboard, sealed level, hijacked camera, unclimbable stair, non-slicing enemies — passed every green gate and was found by a human playing.

# Green gates cannot see whether the thing is playable
## The record that justifies the rule
One project shipped, in sequence, past a fully green harness (capture green, validator 20/20,
selftest 15/15): a keyboard that did nothing, a level sealed by its own colliders, a camera
that hijacked the view seconds into play, a stair that could not be climbed, and enemies whose
signature death effect silently did not happen. **Every one was found by the operator playing.**
The common cause was always the same: acceptance ran a scripted path with the camera locked, so
nothing ever pressed a key, walked the route, or checked which camera was rendering. A judge
grades a frame; a validator grades artifacts; neither can see playability.

How the signals fit together
Facts from a static read of the files at the pinned commit. They describe what the code does, not why.
Some files could not be read; the facts below still hold.
