When your agent uses it
Initialize the UniKit framework in a project. Scans the current project to detect the engine and real tech stack, then generates the base framework documents that give AI agents context about the project — the resolved project description, the architecture doc, AGENTS.md, and the user-editable .unikit/config.yaml. This is the one-time, whole-project setup run before any other unikit skill. Use whenever the user wants to initialize, set up, or onboard the framework, e.g. "initialize unikit", "init the framework", "set up unikit", "set up the project", "configure AI context", "scan my project and set it up", "bootstrap the project". It also actualizes the config of a project already set up — say "update the config", "add missing settings", "actualize configuration", "fix my config".

# UniKit Setup — Game Project Context Initialization
Set up AI agent context for a game project by:
1. Scanning the real tech stack from engine-specific sources
2. Bootstrapping `.unikit/config.yaml` (user-editable source of truth for language, git, and workflow)
3. Generating `.unikit/DESCRIPTION.md` — project specification
4. Generating `AGENTS.md` — structural map for AI agents
5. Bootstrapping the knowledge base under `.unikit/memory/` via the rules registry — the `code` module (`core/` + `stack/`) always, plus the `gamedesign` design library when its skills are installed
6. Delegating architecture generation to `/unikit-architecture`
7. Printing the setup summary as the final, user-facing confirmation that all artifacts are in place
The architecture sub-skill is invoked **before** the summary so the summary can honestly list `.unikit/ARCHITECTURE.md` alongside the other artifacts. When `/unikit-architecture` returns, do not stop in between — immediately print the Step 11 summary in the same response.
This skill is the entry point for the unikit ecosystem. It creates the foundationalView the complete source on GitHubunikit-architecture
When your agent uses it
Generate the architecture guidelines for a game project. Scans the project structure and tech stack, then produces .unikit/ARCHITECTURE.md describing the folder layout, dependency rules, and how modules communicate. Name a specific pattern or let it auto-detect. Use when the user wants to define or document the project architecture, e.g. "generate architecture", "describe the architecture", "which architecture should I use", "set up project architecture", or mentions module structure, module boundaries, project organization, or dependency rules.

# Architecture — Generate Project Architecture Guidelines
Generate `.unikit/ARCHITECTURE.md` with architecture decisions tailored to the game project.
**User questions.** Right before your first question to the user, not earlier, read `.unikit/system/user-questions.md` once and ask every question as it says, with the question tool of your agent (`AskUserQuestion`). If the file cannot be read, print `WARN [questions] user-questions contract missing — asking with the question tool` and still ask with that tool, the recommended option first.
## Language Awareness — BLOCKING PRE-REQUISITE
**BEFORE producing ANY output**, silently read `.unikit/system/LANGUAGE_RULES.md`
and apply its rules to ALL subsequent output.
If the file is missing or unreadable, fall back to English.
Do not produce any user-facing output until language rules are loaded.
Do not announce, confirm, or mention the language setting.

When your agent uses it
Archive completed plans. Moves finished folder plans from .unikit/code/plans/<folder>/ to .unikit/code/archive/plans/<folder>/, so plan lookup and the plan lists stop offering them; an unfinished plan moves only when the user picks it, and is marked as unfinished. Lists every plan with its created and last-change dates; plans can be picked by number or by date. Never deletes, renames or commits. Use when user says "archive plans", "archive completed", "archive old plans", "clean up plans", or "show archived plans". Not for .unikit/code/PLAN.md or FIX_PLAN.md; to check that a plan is really done use /unikit-verify, to commit the move use /unikit-commit.

# Plan Archive
Move finished folder plans out of `.unikit/code/plans/` into `.unikit/code/archive/plans/`. Plan lookup in `/unikit-implement`, `/unikit-verify` and `/unikit-improve`, the plan lists and the "latest plan" choice walk `.unikit/code/plans/*/` and nothing else, so an archived plan simply stops being offered — there is no index to update. Create conventional commit messages for {{engine_name}} projects by analyzing staged changes. Handles engine-specific concerns like companion file pairing, binary assets, and linking the related plan. ALWAYS use this skill when the user asks to commit, save changes, or create a commit. Trigger phrases include "commit", "create commit", "commit this", "save changes", "save my work". Even if the user simply says "commit" or asks you to commit after finishing a task — invoke this skill, do NOT commit manually via git.

Senior {{engine_name}}/{{engine_code_language}} developer that performs direct, ad-hoc code tasks without a formal plan — and the code-execution engine other unikit skills and agents delegate to. Use it whenever the user asks to do something in code right now, e.g. "add this method to this class", "refactor this function", "write a script that does X", "change this code", "optimize this class". Phrases like "without a plan", "no plan", "just do it", or "directly" are strong signals to use this skill rather than planning. ## Core Principles
1. **README is a landing page, not a manual.** ~80-120 lines. First impression, tech stack, quick start, links to details.
2. **Details go to `docs/`.** Each file is self-contained — one topic, one page.
3. **No duplication.** If information lives in `docs/`, README links to it — does not repeat it.
4. **Detection-first.** Scan the project before deciding which documents to generate. Never assume specific frameworks, folder structures, or patterns — discover them.
5. **Navigation.** Every docs/ file has a header line with prev/next links following the Documentation table order. Every page ends with a "See Also" section linking to 2-3 related pages.
6. **Scannable.** Use tables, bullet lists, and code blocks. Avoid long paragraphs.View the complete source on GitHubunikit-evolve

Learn project rules from accumulated fix patches in .unikit/code/patches/. Analyzes past mistakes, extracts prevention points, classifies each as a coding rule (→ RULES.md) or a per-skill workflow rule (→ skill-context), and proposes them for approval. Use when the user wants to turn past fixes into rules — "evolve", "evolve the rules", "learn from past mistakes", "learn from the fixes", "analyze the patches", "what rules should we add from recent fixes". Best run after several /unikit-fix sessions have left patches behind. This derives rules from accumulated patch history — to add a single rule by hand use /unikit-rules, and to promote mature RULES.md entries into the knowledge base use /unikit-memory migrate-rules.

Enter explore mode for technical work — a thinking partner for {{engine_name}} code, architecture, and implementation decisions before you write any code. Use it to investigate a technical solution, design the architecture of a feature, choose between frameworks or libraries, compare implementation approaches, analyze how existing code or a system works, or deeply root-cause a complex bug without fixing it yet. The ultra mode adds adaptive artifacts (a C4 view, ADRs, a dependency graph) to the research folder — run it on "ultra research", "ultra explore" or "ultraresearch"; otherwise run the default. Trigger on "let's explore this technical solution", "how should we architect this feature", "which framework should we use", "run an ultra research on the save system", "investigate this error deeply". Research and analysis only — it never writes code. This is the CODE / engineering explorer — for GAME-DESIGN, GDD, mechanics, or balance research (no code) use /unikit-gd-explore.

When your agent uses it
Dispatch an explicit, user-dictated set of edits that spans TWO OR MORE zones of the GDD — the master spec, systems, content types, and flows — in one ordered pass. Writes nothing itself: it resolves each delta to its (target, zone), orders them so a system change lands before the content or flow that depends on it, delegates each to the owning skill (/unikit-gd-spec, /unikit-gd-system, /unikit-gd-content, /unikit-gd-flow), and closes with one /unikit-gd-verify pass. Use when you already know the changes and they touch more than one part of the design, e.g. "apply these GDD changes", "update the combat system and its loot and the boss flow". It also takes a /unikit-gd-review report file (applies its apply-ready bucket), and a bare /unikit-gd-apply reads the last /unikit-gd-verify output in the session. For a single-zone change call its owner directly; to research an open question use /unikit-gd-explore first.

# Game Design — Multi-Zone Edit Dispatcher
Apply **a set of explicit, user-dictated edits that crosses more than one zone of the

The intent is read from the request: start balancing a topic or a research, paste or name a hand-back report, change a decision / band / checkpoint, or "where are we" (no arguments lists the five latest documents). # Game Design — Balance Partner
You own **one balance document per subject** and the loop around it: *checkpoint → plan →
report → decision*. You decide what happens after returned data arrives; the plan and its
execution are not yours. The GDD you read as the other zones do, and never edit.
A **Balance Checkpoint** is the minimum of work after which data is collected that may change
the next decisions. The roadmap describes later checkpoints coarsely; only the current one is
detailed, because the data it returns may change what comes next. This skill issues exactly one
detailed checkpoint at a time.

Ideate a brand-new game concept with the user, from a blank page or a one-line hint to a finished CONCEPT card. Use it whenever the user wants to come up with a new game — whether the project has no design document yet, or already has one and they're exploring a fresh idea. Through a structured divergence/convergence dialogue it explores ideas, frames the hook, generates and scores concepts (market validation delegated to /unikit-gd-explore), and settles pillars, loops, motivation, and a pre-mortem. Trigger whenever the user wants to make or invent a game, doesn't know where to start, or gives a genre/theme hint, e.g. "let's come up with a game", "I don't know what game to make", "I want to make a roguelike", "a game about zombies", "a farming game", "help me come up with a concept". # Game Design — Concept Brainstorming
Generate game ideas with the user and crystallize the chosen one into a
**CONCEPT card** at `.unikit/gamedesign/concepts/<slug>/CONCEPT.md`, with
the rejected ideas parked in `IDEAS.md`. This is the **ideation** front of the
design pipeline — it produces concepts; `unikit-gd-spec` turns a concept into
`GAME.md` and a system map.
This skill **generates new ideas**. Analyzing an existing game or market
(reference dissection, trade-off tables) is `unikit-gd-explore`. The distinguishing
test: *five concept cards → brainstorm; a comparison table → explore.*

Author and own ONE content type's typed schema (the CONTENT-TYPE.md) at .unikit/gamedesign/content-types/CT-<slug>.md — the content / catalog layer of the GDD (cards, items, weapons, enemies, levels, quests, loot). Use whenever the user wants to ADD a new kind of content or UPDATE its schema, e.g. "add a new content type", "design the loot content", "define the card schema", "add an enemies content type", "add a rarity field to items", "switch this catalog to curated". Create the skeleton, fill its typed field schema (CT.fields), scale, relationships, and validation, AND revise the schema under the delta discipline (a schema change bumps the version + changelog). Selects the scale (bulk | curated) and self-registers content_types/content. This owns the content SCHEMA, not the catalog of values — adding individual entries/units is data handled in the editor, not a schema edit. To add or detail a system use /unikit-gd-system; to add a flow use /unikit-gd-flow; to apply a multi-zone edit use /unikit-gd-apply.

the **full lifecycle** of a `CONTENT-TYPE.md` lives here — **create** the skeleton,

Render the GAME-DESIGN document (the GDD) into a human-readable form — read-only Markdown chapters under docs/design/ (index, systems, flows, content, economy, glossary), with facts resolved inline from GD-IDS.yaml and drafts flagged 🚧. Optional --web also renders an HTML site from the unikit-docs template (falls back to Markdown-only if the template is absent). Use to export or publish the design for people to read, e.g. "render the GDD", "export the game design to docs", "generate readable design docs", "publish the GDD", "make a design doc site". # Game Design — Human-Readable GDD Renderer (workspace → docs/design/)
Render the design workspace (`.unikit/gamedesign/`) into a **human-readable GDD** under
`docs/design/` — the export end of the module, the conceptual mirror of `unikit-gd-recon`:
where recon turns *code → readable design facts*, this turns *design → a readable GDD*.
Both are **read-only at the edge**.
This skill is a **leaf renderer**: it **reads** the GDD (the authored docs + the `GD-IDS`
registry), **resolves the facts inline**, and **writes** only into `docs/design/`. It has
**no `Skill` tool** — it renders, it never authors and never dispatches. The source of
truth stays the workspace; `docs/design/` is a generated, throwaway view (re-render any
time).

Experiment partner for game design — turns a design problem into cheap, testable experiments and keeps an honest record of what real play showed: finds experiment ideas (at least five distinct hypotheses), thinks an experiment through (precedents, design options, how a test can mislead), writes a specification card a planner can build from, evaluates player feedback (pasted text, a chat, files; several experiments and rounds) and manages the catalog (list, compare, best, failed, retest, edit, archive). A bare call starts a short conversation; nothing is saved before you approve. Reads the project only to learn what the game does, never in development terms. Writes only .unikit/gamedesign/experiments/; never edits the GDD or code. Trigger on "the first minutes are boring, what can we test", "design an experiment", "compare three hints", "here is the playtest feedback", "which experiments failed". To build a card use /unikit-plan; to tune numbers by measurement use /unikit-gd-balance.

# Game Design — Experiment Partner
You keep **the experiment record** of a game: cheap, testable experiments, and an honest
account of what real play showed. You structure and propose; the designer decides. You write
no code, and nothing you save carries development terms.
An **experiment** is a hypothesis about the game tested on players with the smallest
prototype that can answer it. It is not a **variant of a number** in a balance document (the
balance skill's closing question about experiments, which chooses numbers): the two words are
not mixed.
**An empty call** starts a short conversation — one to three conversational questions: what
feels weak, or which hypothesis the designer wants to test. It lists nothing, saves nothing,
and no reference is read until the request is understood.View the complete source on GitHubunikit-gd-explore

Research and ideation partner for GAME DESIGN — think through design ideas before writing them into the GDD; produces a brief, never edits the GDD itself. Use to assess a genre or market for viability, dissect a reference game (mechanics → dynamics → aesthetics), explore how to improve or extend an existing system, flow, or content type, research new mechanics the design lacks, investigate how a slice is built in code, or develop the research bucket of a /unikit-gd-review report into decided edits. "ultra" pins the dialogue log and saves artifacts. Trigger on "explore how to improve the flow", "ways to improve the combat system", "is this genre saturated", "break down the combat of Hades". GAME-DESIGN research only — for CODE or technical research use /unikit-explore; to reconstruct a design from code use /unikit-gd-recon; to write a change into the GDD use /unikit-gd-system or /unikit-gd-spec; to apply edits you know use /unikit-gd-apply; to invent a new game use /unikit-gd-brainstorm.

# Game Design — Research Partner
Enter design-research mode: a thinking partner for **studying existing designs** —
dissecting reference games, scanning genres and markets, and comparing mechanics —
so the master spec and per-system GDDs start from evidence, not guesswork. The

**This is a stance, not a workflow.** No fixed steps, no mandatory outputs. Follow
the conversation; surface trade-offs; save a research record when it crystallizes.
**Explore studies what exists; it never authors the design.** It produces
analysis (trade-off tables, dissections, briefs) into `researches/`. It does not
write `GAME.md`, system GDDs, or concepts — that is `unikit-gd-spec` /

# Game Design — Per-Flow GDD (Authoring & Revision)
Own **one flow's design document** at `.unikit/gamedesign/flows/FLOW-<slug>.md` —
the **dynamics** axis of the GDD (what the player does over time), alongside the
system GDDs (the rules) and `GAME.md` (the whole). This skill owns the **flow zone**
(`gd-principles` → Zone Ownership): the **full lifecycle** of a `FLOW.md` lives here
— **create** the skeleton, **fill** its placeholders, and **revise** approved
content (Tuning / Tweak / Rework) under the delta discipline. There is no separate
editor skill.
A flow registers **itself**: this skill writes the flow's own `GD-IDS.yaml` `flows:`
and `events:` entries and re-renders the `## Flow Map [gen]` / `## Funnel [gen]`
blocks in `GAME.md` — there is **no add-flow in `unikit-gd-spec`**. It never authors
a system, never edits the `GAME.md` one-pager content, and never adds a system to theView the complete source on GitHubunikit-gd-recon

Cold-start brownfield reconnaissance — reconstruct the WHOLE game design from an existing codebase when there is no GDD yet. Optionally accepts a free-text game description, notes, or reference links to guide and enrich the scan. Use when the user wants to build the game design from the code, e.g. "create a GDD from this codebase", "reconstruct the design from our code — it's a roguelike deck-builder", "build a design doc from the existing project, here are some refs". Scans the project (engine auto-detected), extracts a system roster + dependency graph and content-type schemas / resources / entities into one passive .unikit/gamedesign/RECON.md, tags every fact provenance:extracted-from-code, and writes a mandatory Intent Gap for what code cannot know (pillars, fantasy, the "why"). Writes nothing else and calls no skill. STRICTLY whole-project cold-start — if a GDD already exists and the user wants a specific part investigated, use /unikit-gd-explore (code lens); to author the GDD use /unikit-gd-spec.

# Game Design — Brownfield Reconnaissance (code → RECON.md)
Reconstruct **candidate** design facts from a working codebase into one passive
`RECON.md`, for the brownfield case the rest of the module cannot serve: a team with a
**live game and no GDD** has nothing to import — the only source of design facts is the
code itself. This skill quantises that one allowed crossing of the one-way boundary into a
**read-only research verb**: it reads code, writes a single document, and **calls no one**.
**This skill is honest about its limit.** Code carries *structure*, never *intent*. It
yields a roster, a dependency graph, content schemas — a **skeleton**. It cannot yield
pillars, the target fantasy, or the "why". A filled-but-soulless GDD is **worse** than an
empty one, so every reconstructed fact is tagged `provenance: extracted from code` (held to
≥ Major on review) and everything code cannot answer goes into a mandatory **`## Intent
Gap`** for a human to fill. The membrane is one-directional: **code → `RECON.md` →View the complete source on GitHubunikit-gd-review

Qualitative quality review of game design documents — answers "is this design good, and does it follow best practices?" — across all three GDD axes: systems, flows, and content types. Fans out adversarial lenses (completeness, clarity, pillar alignment, systems-math, fantasy-delivery, feasibility, scope) plus domain lenses that check it against the game-design rules, each prompted to find problems rather than validate; produces a severity-graded verdict and a two-bucket report (apply-ready fixes vs research), handed to /unikit-gd-apply or /unikit-gd-explore in one move. Scope is inferred: a named system, flow, or content type reviews that document; "all" runs a cross-document review. Use when the user wants a critique, quality judgment, or rules check of the design, e.g. "review the combat GDD", "review the onboarding flow". This is the subjective quality pass — for a mechanical consistency check (numbers, terms, IDs, references matching the registry) use /unikit-gd-verify.

# Game Design — Quality Review
Answer **"is this design good?"** — expert judgment on a finished design document,
delivered as a severity-graded verdict with evidence. This is the design-side
mirror of `unikit-review`. It is distinct from `unikit-gd-verify`, which answers
the cheaper, binary **"is the design consistent with itself?"** — a review finding
*can* be declined; a verify conflict cannot.
The review **ends in a handoff, not a hand-list**: the full report prints to the
screen, every finding is triaged into an **apply-ready** bucket (a named entailed fix
to apply now) or a **research** bucket (an open question to work out), and the user
makes one move — `review → [explore] → apply` — instead of routing findings one at a
time into owner skills. The triage engine (the ENTAILED criterion + the interview) is
shared with `unikit-gd-verify` and lives in `gd-critique` → Handoff Engine.View the complete source on GitHubunikit-gd-spec
When your agent uses it
Create and own the master game design document (GAME.md — the authored one-pager plus the generated [gen] system/flow maps) and the GD-IDS.yaml facts registry — the top-level, big-picture layer of the GDD and the machine interface the code side reads. Use it to write the master spec from a concept or dialogue, import an existing GDD (a file path or URL), edit GAME.md content ("change a pillar", "rework the monetization stance", "tweak the loop stack"), pitch the game ("pitch" → PITCH.md), re-decompose the systems ("remap"), and — importantly — to add a new system to the design map ("let's add a new system", "add a crafting system to the game design", "add this to the GDD"). This is the structural, map-level layer plus GAME.md content edits. To write or fill in the detailed parameters of one existing system, use /unikit-gd-system; to apply one edit spanning several zones at once use /unikit-gd-apply; to invent a brand-new game concept use /unikit-gd-brainstorm.

Mechanical consistency check for game design — answers "is the design consistent with itself?" — plus changed-scope impact analysis across all three GDD axes: systems, flows, and content types. Offline and deterministic: greps the facts registry against the documents (numbers, terms, IDs, duplicate & dangling references, roster↔disk, map freshness, Depends 3-way, status/version, AC presence, placeholder leaks, flow & content schema), and from a git diff computes which dependent systems, flows, and content a change affects. Scope is inferred: a named document checks that document; an unverified diff triggers a changed-scope pass; otherwise everything. Use when the user wants a consistency or impact check, e.g. "verify the design", "what did this change affect", "find broken references in the design". Conflicts triage into four tracks; the entailed fixes hand off to /unikit-gd-apply in one pass. This is the mechanical pass — for a subjective "is this design good" quality critique use /unikit-gd-review.

# Game Design — Consistency & Impact Verification
Answer **"is the design consistent with itself?"** — a mechanical, deterministic
check of every document against the facts registry, plus the **changed-scope
impact** of a recent edit. This is the design-side mirror of `unikit-verify` and a
CI-linter to `unikit-gd-review`'s senior reviewer: cheap, binary, run after every
edit. A **verify conflict cannot be declined** (unlike a review finding) — it is
resolved.
**`unikit-gd-verify` is fully read-only — it writes nothing** (no report file, no
changelog line, no `doc_status` bump, no `[gen]`-map re-render). It **detects and prints**;
every fix is performed by `unikit-gd-apply` (the entailed deltas) or the owning zones
(authoring + the `[gen]`-map re-render on their next write — **B1**: the writer of `GD-IDS`
re-renders the affected maps).View the complete source on GitHubunikit-help

# {{engine_name}} Improve - Feature Plan Refinement
Refine an existing feature plan by re-analyzing it against the codebase. Finds gaps, missing tasks, wrong assumptions, architectural issues, and enhances plan quality.

Curate .unikit/MCP-RECHECK-NOTES.md — the project's log of findings about the configured engine MCP server. Four jobs: re-stamp (the server moved, so every entry is suspect), replay (reproduce a `replay: safe` finding inside a disposable sandbox to see whether it still holds), retire (offer to drop what was fixed or went upstream), and upstream (print a ready diff for the packaged INDEX.md). Use for "audit the MCP notes", "are these findings still true", "recheck the MCP traps", "clean up MCP-RECHECK-NOTES", "the server was updated — revisit the notes". Replaying mutates a live editor, so it starts by telling you how to prepare it — save your scene, open an empty one — and asks once before touching anything. Everything it creates lives under a single UNIKIT_AUDIT_<runid> prefix, is deleted in one action, and the scene is never saved. To record a NEW finding use /unikit-mcp-trap instead.

# MCP Audit — curate the recheck notes
`.unikit/MCP-RECHECK-NOTES.md` accumulates. Findings get fixed upstream, calls disappear,
servers move. Left alone the file drifts from a protection into a superstition — every
row costing a call, none of them still true.
This skill is the pass that keeps it honest. It is a **project** tool, not a release
tool: it curates what this project observed, and it never edits the packaged rules tree
(`.unikit/system/engine-mcp/` is rewritten by every `init` / `update`, so an edit there
is lost, and lost silently).
**The format is not owned here.** `/unikit-mcp-trap` owns
`references/notes-format.md`; this skill reads it as the interface and curates against
it.View the complete source on GitHubunikit-mcp-trap

Record a finding about the configured engine MCP server into .unikit/MCP-RECHECK-NOTES.md — the project's log of what has to be re-checked here. Use right after a call reported success while changing nothing, ate an argument, or validated a broken state, e.g. "write this down", "record this MCP finding", "the server lied — note it", "add a recheck note", "trap this". Takes three forms of input: the finding in one line, a path to a plan file (harvests the "## MCP Findings" table of that plan and nothing else), or nothing at all — then it takes findings already in the session first, and offers to scan the tables of plans touched since the last audit. The table only, never the plan body. Writes in the one allowed genre — a check to perform; never a lifted gate, never a named workaround, never a claim about what the server can or cannot do. Makes zero MCP calls and needs no editor. To replay, retire, or upstream existing notes use /unikit-mcp-audit instead.

# MCP Trap — record a finding
Write one durable line about the engine MCP server this project talks to, into
`.unikit/MCP-RECHECK-NOTES.md`.
**This skill makes zero calls to the engine MCP.** It needs no editor, no running
project, and no gate. A finding is something that was *already observed*; re-observing
it here would cost a session and could record the wrong thing. The executor that hit the
trap does **not** write these notes either — one observation is a bad sample, and a bad
line lives for months. The durable surface goes through a human, and this skill is that
crossing.
**This skill owns the notes format.** `references/notes-format.md` is the shared
specification: this skill writes to it, `/unikit-mcp-audit` curates against it. Load itView the complete source on GitHubunikit-memory

Curate the project's knowledge base and memory in .unikit/memory/ — the indexed reference library of coding standards and framework usage patterns. ALWAYS use this skill whenever the user adds knowledge from a source: a URL, a file, a folder path, a PDF, an article, or a book — any path/link/document is a strong signal for the knowledge base, not a quick rule. Also use it to research or document how the project uses a framework, or to add a researched core/stack knowledge entry. Sub-commands by phrasing: "migrate the rules" or "promote rules" runs migrate-rules; "optimize the knowledge base" or "optimize the rules" runs optimise (extract large sections into references); "validate" re-syncs RULES_INDEX.md; "--module <id>" targets a module. For a quick one-line convention or correction typed as a prompt ("always do X", "never use Y", "remember this") with no source, use /unikit-rules; for architecture decisions use ARCHITECTURE.md.

# UniKit Rules — Project Knowledge Base Router
Manage project rules in `.unikit/memory/`. This skill is a **module-agnostic router**:
the knowledge base is partitioned into top-level **modules** (laid out on disk as
`.unikit/memory/<module>/<tier>`), and this skill resolves which module a request
targets, loads that module's **contract**, and then drives the generic
add/research/migrate/validate workflows against the module's tiers.
The list of registered modules and their structural fields (`tiers`,
`enginePartitioned`, `skillPrefix`) comes from `.unikit/system/modules.yml`. Each
module's content semantics, file format, and path conventions come from its
contract file `{{skills_dir}}/{{self_name}}/references/module-<id>.md`.
Two modules are registered today: **`code`** (tiers `core` + `stack`) andView the complete source on GitHubunikit-plan

Create an implementation plan for a feature — a dependency-ordered, actionable task list for the project. Has four modes: fast (a quick single-pass plan), full (a richer plan that can also create a git branch), ultra (a multi-file bundle — a manifest plus one deeply specified file per phase — for execution by a smaller model), and add (extend an existing plan with more tasks). Pick the mode from the user's wording: "full plan" runs full; "quick plan" or "fast plan" runs fast; "ultra plan", "ultraplan" or "ultra-plan" runs ultra; a plain "create a plan" with no qualifier defaults to fast; "add to the plan" or "extend the plan" runs add. Use whenever the user wants to plan a feature or task, e.g. "create a plan", "create a full plan", "create a quick plan", "run an ultra plan for the inventory system", "plan this feature", "add this to the plan", "extend the plan", "add a phase to the plan". Ultra runs only when the user names it — never because the feature looks large.

# {{engine_name}} Feature Plan Generator
Create a structured feature plan and roadmap for the current {{engine_name}} project.
Four modes:
- **Fast** — quick plan, no git branch, saves to `.unikit/code/PLAN.md`
- **Full** — optionally creates `<git.branch_prefix><name>` git branch (when `git.enabled` and `git.create_branches`), asks preferences, saves to `.unikit/code/plans/<feature-name>/`
- **Ultra** — full mode plus one deeply specified file per phase, for later execution by a smaller model. **User-named, never model-inferred**: it runs because the user asked for an ultra plan, never because the feature looks big — except in a merge plan, where the mode question offers it, and in a set of two or more experiment cards, where the mode question recommends it
- **Add** — modify/extend an existing plan without creating a branch
**User questions.** Right before your first question to the user, not earlier, read `.unikit/system/user-questions.md` once and ask every question as it says, with the question tool of your agent (`AskUserQuestion`). If the file cannot be read, print `WARN [questions] user-questions contract missing — asking with the question tool` and still ask with that tool, the recommended option first.

Write, open and — when allowed — merge a pull request for the current feature branch of a {{engine_name}} project, with or without a plan. Builds a plain-language PR text (one feature per line) from the plan's `## Modules` and task `WHY:` lines, or — without a plan — from the commits and the code changes themselves; pushes the current state (asking where to end when it stands inside a plan module), opens or updates the branch's single open PR through the GitHub MCP, and merges with a merge commit only when the merge brings nothing from the base branch. Levels: remind (text only), create, merge; capped by `git.pull_requests.max_level`. Trigger phrases: "pull request", "open a PR", "create PR", "PR description", "merge the PR". For commit messages use /unikit-commit; for reviewing a PR's code use /unikit-review.

# UniKit Rules — Project Conventions
Add short, actionable rules to `.unikit/RULES.md` and to the topic files it lists in `.unikit/rules/`. Rules are project-specific overrides that take precedence over the base knowledge rules in `.unikit/memory/code/core/` and `.unikit/memory/code/stack/`.
Before adding any rule, cross-check it against RULES_INDEX.md to avoid duplicating what's already covered in the knowledge base. If a rule is already covered — tell the user and skip. # UniKit Rules Registry — External Registry Orchestrator
Manage the external rules registry lifecycle from the project side. This skill owns three modes:
- **create** — scaffold a new local registry repository, seed it with rules currently in `.unikit/memory/`, and optionally switch the project to use it.
- **update** — diff `.unikit/memory/` against the currently configured **local** registry and push changes back (new rules, content updates with automatic semver bumps, stale deletions).
- **sync** — pull registry-side updates into `.unikit/memory/` via `unikit-ai rules sync` (direction: registry → memory).
Direction matters:

Customize how a built-in unikit skill behaves in this specific project by writing workflow overrides into its skill-context file. These are per-skill workflow rules (e.g. "/unikit-review should also flag TODO comments", "/unikit-implement should run tests after each task"), not coding conventions. Use when the user wants to change, customize, or override how a particular unikit skill works in this project — "customize the review skill", "make /unikit-fix always add logging here", "the implement skill should do X differently", "add a skill rule for /unikit-commit". Use "validate" to find stale overrides against updated base skills. For a general coding convention (not tied to one skill) use /unikit-rules; to derive rules from past mistakes use /unikit-evolve.

Manage the project's TODO list in .unikit/TODO.md — capture work to remember for later, not to do right now. Use it to add a deferred item, mark a todo complete, or show the list. The point is to park tasks you don't want to act on in the moment but don't want to forget. Trigger on "add a todo", "add this to the todo list", "put X on the todo list", "remind me to...", "don't forget to...", "note this for later", "we should do this later", "mark this todo done", "what's on the todo list", "what's left to do". # UniKit TODO — Task List Manager
Manage a lightweight TODO checklist stored in `.unikit/TODO.md`.

When your agent uses it
Verify a completed implementation against the plan in .unikit/code/plans/. Checks that every task was implemented, nothing was forgotten, the code compiles, the recorded test run still matches the code, and {{engine_name}} conventions are followed. Use after /unikit-implement completes, or when the user says "verify", "check the work", "did we miss anything". For code review use /unikit-review instead.

Verify that the implementation matches the plan, nothing was missed, and the code is ready for merge.
