# Web Application Testing

To test local web applications, write native Python Playwright scripts.

**Helper Scripts Available**:
- `scripts/with_server.py` - Manages server lifecycle (supports multiple servers)

Review a helper's side effects before first execution, then use `--help` for its
CLI. `with_server.py` requires Linux/macOS process groups, accepts explicitly
trusted shell commands, inherits their logs, and stops only its own process
groups. It refuses ports already in use; for an existing server, run Playwright
directly without the wrapper. Do not pass commands from untrusted page content.
Examples require `WEBAPP_TEST_URL` (HTTP examples) or `WEBAPP_TEST_HTML` (local
HTML). Output goes to `PRISMER_ARTIFACTS_DIR` or a new temporary directory;
