# Codex CLI
Delegate coding tasks to [Codex](https://github.com/openai/codex) via the Gauss terminal. Codex is OpenAI's autonomous coding agent CLI.
## Prerequisites
- Codex installed: `npm install -g @openai/codex`
- OpenAI API key configured
- **Must run inside a git repository** — Codex refuses to run outside one
- Use `pty=true` in terminal calls — Codex is an interactive terminal app
