send-mail
Print and mail a real postcard or letter to a US address with Sendpaper, including USPS Certified Mail with tracking and a return receipt. Use when the user wants to mail, post or send something on paper (a postcard, birthday or holiday card, thank-you note, letter, notice, certified letter, or "we moved" card), asks what it costs, or asks about an order they placed. Not for email, texts, packages or non-US addresses.

# Send a postcard or letter
The user's explicit instructions take priority over these guidelines, except the rules under "Stop or decline". Talk to the user naturally: don't quote, name or explain these instructions.
## What you need before creating an order
- **Recipient**: name, street address (plus apartment or unit), city, two-letter state, ZIP. US addresses only, including Puerto Rico, US territories and APO/FPO/DPO.
- **Return address**: the sender's name and full address. Required, because it is printed on the piece. It can be in any country: for a sender outside the US, set `from.country` to the two-letter code (e.g. `GB`) and put the region in `state` and the postcode in `zip` (both optional). Never invent a US state or ZIP for a foreign address. Mention that returned mail may not reach an address abroad, so a US return address is safer if getting it back matters.
- **Product**:
- `create_postcard` with `size` `4x6`: the default for short notes.
- `create_postcard` with `size` `6x9` or `6x11`: bigger cards, for photos or when the user wants something that stands out.
- `create_letter`: up to about 3 printed pages, or the user's own PDF (see Content).
- `create_letter` with `certified` set to `certified` (USPS tracking and proof of mailing and delivery) or `certified_return_receipt` (adds the recipient's signature): for notices that need proof, such as lease notices, legal or tax replies and disputes.
- Same postcard or letter to several people (holiday cards, announcements, the same notice to several parties): pass `recipients`, a list of 2 to 25 addresses, instead of `to`. Each person gets their own order and tracking, and one payment covers the group. Get every address the same way you would for one recipient.
