# catch-up

The user stepped away. Tell them what happened since they last typed, in everyday words and small pictures, then put every decision that is waiting on them in front of them with enough context that your reply alone lets them decide.

## Find the cutoff

The cutoff is the last message the user typed themselves before running this command. System notifications, hook output, scheduled-task messages and subagent returns are not user messages. Assume the user remembers that message and nothing after it.

## No side effects

This turn only reads. Do not edit code, start an app or job, push, comment, or post anywhere. Every picture comes from material that already exists: screenshots, recordings and data the work produced. Status lookups (PR state, CI state, background agent state) are reads and are allowed.
