# Creating a Deck

**Do not explore the codebase for routine deck creation.** Use the app actions
and linked skills. This does not override the active design system, Creative
Context, reference deck, or source material that the app already provides.

Slides owns the deck's authoring. Use Slides actions with the hydrated design
system and reference context. Keep deck generation and edits in Slides; call
Design only for a user-requested Design-owned input or a capability only Design
provides, then return to Slides for all deck authoring.
