# Structured Operator Questions (`ask_user_question`)

When operator input is needed, use the structured question channel:

- `ask_user_question` — structured picker rendered in the CLI. For
free-form dimensions (organization name, IP ranges, contact addresses)
set `allow_other=true` and the picker appends a free-text fallback the
  operator can type into.

Every operator-facing question goes through this tool. This skill describes
question mechanics; it does not require an interview for every planning request.
