dossier

Find, or write if it is missing, the dossier an optimization campaign starts from, for one model, workload and GPU target. When a campaign's gains run small, it says so and ranks kernel rewrites, each written up as a kernel plan. It first looks for an existing dossier and uses it, refreshing only stale parts. A dossier covers model and framework architecture, a method-by-method reading of the served code, the workload and the CPU work it causes, the target and the baseline, a profile, which kernels run and whether better ones exist (AITER, KernelForge, kernels in the codebase that go unused, what B200 picks), an optional B200 comparison the user supplies, AMD's earlier optimizations, and ranked directions. Use before starting or re-basing a campaign, when a new model, framework or workload arrives, when asked what to optimize and why, or to update the dossier in rounds (code re-read, baseline, profile, directions) after a long campaign or a merge has moved the served tree.
