# Goal Setter
## Overview
Goals fail when vague ('get fit'), disconnected from weekly action, or set and forgotten by February.
Three layers make goals work: outcome (what), measure (how you'll know), process (what you'll do weekly).
SMART and OKRs handle outcome + measure; habits, calendars, and reviews handle process.
Most people over-invest in writing goals beautifully and under-invest in the review cadence that sustains them.
The review cadence matters more than the framework. A goal without reviews is a wish.
