When your agent uses it

Use with reverse-engineer-anything (REA) to specify or rebuild software and assess performance improvements. Infer the target and intent from natural language; scale from whole apps to selected features, functions, interfaces, or formats. Ordinary REA explanations, comparisons, and diagnostics do not require a reconstruction blueprint.

# REA-Reconstruction-Companion

Turn a naturally stated target investigation into an evidence-backed specification and, when requested, a validated reconstruction. Scale the work from a selected function or interface to a whole product. The user does not need to complete a form or supply bracketed variables.

Load the installed `reverse-engineer-anything` skill through the host's skill mechanism, or read its explicitly supplied `SKILL.md`, if it is not already loaded. Use it for target routing, REA tools, evidence mechanics, runtime boundaries, and connection recovery; do not embed a machine-specific path or copy its provider catalog here. This skill adds product decomposition, requirements, design, development, and validation. It does not install REA or supply an analysis engine.

These instructions are independent of the model provider. Use the host's available file, coding, research, and REA interfaces; no particular tool namespace, model, API, or invocation prefix is required. REA may be exposed through MCP or its supported CLI as described by the base skill. Optional host metadata is not part of the core workflow. A host without the necessary artifact access or REA tools can work from supplied evidence but must state those limits rather than claim live analysis.

## No additional charges

Do not initiate any action that could add a charge for the user. Apply this constraint to REA, research, implementation, testing, delegation, installation, and any suggested automation. Use existing local tools and supplied evidence first. Do not buy software, start subscriptions or trials, activate billing, use paid or metered APIs/model calls, provision cloud resources, or trigger billable CI, storage, deployment, or network services. A tool being available, open source, or described as a free tier does not establish that its execution is free; quotas and overages can still incur charges.

Before an external or potentially metered action, establish that it cannot generate an additional charge in the actual account/environment, including indirect work it triggers. If that cannot be established, do not run it. Continue with available local evidence/tools or report the blocked step and a no-charge alternative. Do not seek a paid exception as part of this workflow. Keep local experiments bounded; do not launch extra agents, model evaluations, or recurring jobs automatically.
