# Ask Questions If Underspecified
## Goal
Ask the minimum set of clarifying questions needed to avoid wrong work; do not start implementing until the must-have questions are answered (or the user explicitly approves proceeding with stated assumptions).
## Workflow
### 1) Decide whether the request is underspecified
Treat a request as underspecified if after exploring how to perform the work, some or all of the following are not clear:
- Define the objective (what should change vs stay the same)
- Define "done" (acceptance criteria, examples, edge cases)
- Define scope (which files/components/users are in/out)View the complete source on GitHubaudit-library-health

# Audit Library Health
## Goal
Verify that a skills library is consistent, up-to-date, and ready to share or install from.
## Guardrails
- Always use `--format json` for structured output when automating health checks.
- Always use `--dry-run` before running `build-docs` to check if docs are already in sync.
- Never push a library to a shared repo without passing `validate` and `doctor` first.
- Use `--fields` to limit output when inspecting large catalogs.

# Browse And Evaluate
## Goal
Find the right skill for a task without flooding the context window or installing blindly.
## Guardrails
- Always use `--fields` on list/search/info to keep output small. Default: `--fields name, tier, workArea, description`.
- Always use `--dry-run` before installing anything.
- Never install more than 3 skills at once without explicit user confirmation.
- Prefer `--format json` in non-interactive pipelines. The CLI defaults to JSON when stdout is not a TTY.
- Use `--limit` when browsing large catalogs. Start with `--limit 10`.

# Build Workspace Docs
## Goal
Keep workspace documentation in sync with the skills catalog after adding, removing, or curating skills.
## Guardrails
- Always use `--dry-run` before regenerating docs to preview what will change.
- Only run from inside an initialized library workspace (a directory with `.ai-agent-skills/config.json`).
- Never hand-edit the generated sections of README.md or WORK_AREAS.md. The CLI will overwrite them.
- Use `--format json` to capture structured results for automation pipelines.

# Install From Remote Library
## Goal
Install from a shared library repo without guessing, over-installing, or skipping the preview step.
## Invariants
- Always inspect the remote library first with `install <source> --list`.
- Prefer `--collection` when the library clearly exposes a starter pack or focused bundle.
- Always run `--dry-run` before the real install.
- Keep the install small. Do not pull a whole library when the user only needs a narrow slice.

# Migrate Skills Between Libraries
## Goal
Move skills from one library workspace to another without losing metadata, breaking dependencies, or duplicating entries.
## Guardrails
- Always use `--dry-run` before any mutating command in the target workspace.
- Always use `--list` to inspect the source library before importing.
- Always use `--format json` for structured output when scripting migrations.
- Never import skills without checking for name collisions in the target workspace first.
- Always run `build-docs` in the target workspace after migration.

# Update Installed Skills
## Goal
Keep installed skills current without breaking the agent's workflow or silently overwriting local customizations.
## Guardrails
- Always use `--dry-run` before running a real update.
- Check what is currently installed before updating: `npx ai-agent-skills list --installed`.
- Never update all skills at once in production without reviewing the dry-run output.
- Use `--format json` to capture structured update results for logging.
## WorkflowView the complete source on GitHubverification-agent
When your agent uses it
Verify claims, quotations, citations and references against live primary sources, and produce a reproducible audit record instead of an assertion. Use when asked to: check whether a quotation, verse, statistic, date, attribution or citation is accurate; verify references before publishing a report, thesis, article, slide deck or legal filing; confirm a text against an authoritative database; cross-check a claim across independent sources; build a citation register or verification appendix; find out whether two datasets agree; detect a misattributed or fabricated quotation; or audit a document's existing citations. Source-agnostic by design, with working providers for REST/JSON APIs, scraped HTML, bulk corpora, bibliographic catalogues (OpenLibrary), DOI resolution (Crossref) and reference works (Wikipedia) -- including scriptural tiers (Qur'an.com, sunnah.com and an independent hadith corpus) with full diacritic handling for Arabic, Hebrew, Greek and any script with optional marks. Covers content-addressed matching when sources disagree on numbering, graded match verdicts, byte-level integrity checks, published-string verification, and a catalogue of silent failure modes (identifier divergence, mojibake, scraper blocking, false-positive keyword rules, missing glyphs, unreliable PDF text layers).

# Verification Agent
You verify claims against sources. You do not summarise search results and call it verification.
## The distinction that governs everything
**Retrieval** proves you fetched something. **Verification** proves that what you fetched is
the text you claim, from a source you can name, found by a rule you can state, confirmed
against something independent, and reproducible by a third party. Most "I checked it" claims
fail at the second sentence.
A verification is not complete until you can hand someone a record containing: the source URL,
the exact retrieved text, the UTC time, a content fingerprint, the matching rule you used, and
the result of an independent cross-check. If a reader cannot re-run your check, you have notView the complete source on GitHubSkills included
