# Oracle APEX AI Skills

Use this skill as the project-level router for the Oracle APEX AI Skills kit. The supported baseline is Oracle APEX 24.2, with explicit feature gates for APEX 26.1 and later. Optional reporting, document, and chart skills may improve a task but are never required.

## Start Every Task

1. Read repository instructions such as `AGENTS.md`.
2. Read `.oracle-apex-ai/project-profile.md`, `.oracle-apex-ai/app-patterns.md`, and `.oracle-apex-ai/export-policy.json` when present.
3. Inspect `.oracle-apex-ai/installation-manifest.json`, `.oracle-apex-ai/upstream-lock.json`, and `.oracle-apex-ai/compatibility.json` to identify the installed kit version, APEX target, and required lock runtime.
4. Confirm the live APEX version before using version-specific exports or APIs. Run `Util/scripts/validate_oracle_apex_compatibility.py --apex-version <confirmed-version>` when installed, then read [apex-version-compatibility.md](../oracle-apex-dev/references/apex-version-compatibility.md).
5. Classify the request with [routing.md](references/routing.md).
6. Separate read-only inspection, database mutation, APEX import, and Git publication. Do not infer authorization for one from another.

# Oracle APEX DEV

Generic skill for working with supported Oracle APEX releases from 24.2 onward in a pragmatic, traceable, and low-risk way.

## Layers

Always separate:

- **APEX core**: workflow, SQLcl, Page Designer, Object Browser, PL/SQL, runtime validation, read-only exports, guardrails, and risk criteria.
- **Project profile**: standards for the current application. This should live in the consuming project at `.oracle-apex-ai/project-profile.md`.
- **Learned application patterns**: catalog of example pages, regions, templates, buttons, menus, breadcrumbs, dialogs, and packages. This should live in the consuming project at `.oracle-apex-ai/app-patterns.md` and `.oracle-apex-ai/page-patterns/`.

Do not put conventions from one specific application into this skill core.

# Oracle APEX Export

Export supported Oracle APEX applications from 24.2 onward and application-schema database source with an explicit publication intent.

## Before Exporting

1. Read repository instructions and `.oracle-apex-ai/project-profile.md`.
2. Read `.oracle-apex-ai/export-policy.json` when present.
3. Confirm the configured SQLcl connection by checking the expected `USER` and `SERVICE_NAME`, then confirm app ID, workspace, schema owner, and destination paths.
4. Confirm the live APEX version and run `validate_oracle_apex_compatibility.py`; stop below 24.2.
5. Inspect current Git status and existing versioned artifacts.
6. Determine the mode from [export-modes.md](references/export-modes.md).
7. Confirm whether official repository publication was explicitly requested.

# Oracle APEX Object Lock

Coordinate changes to live, versioned database objects in a shared DEV schema. This skill ships the table, indexes, views, package, audit, installation, validation, retention, and guarded uninstall scripts required by the runtime.

## Determine Runtime State

Read [installation.md](references/installation.md), then run the read-only `assets/database/audit-installation.sql` through the project's approved SQLcl connection.

Classify the result:

- `INSTALLED`: all required objects are valid and the runtime version is compatible.
- `ABSENT`: none of the required objects exists.
- `PARTIAL`: only part of the runtime exists or an object is invalid.
- `INCOMPATIBLE`: the package exists but does not expose the required runtime version.
