# Dispatch Infrastructure
This skill provides shared infrastructure for multi-model CLI dispatch. It is NOT user-invocable — it exists as reference material for the `adv-review` orchestrator agent and the `adv-*` commands.
## Available Engines
| Engine | CLI | Non-Interactive Flags | Sandbox Flag |
|---|---|---|---|
| codex | `codex exec` | `--skip-git-repo-check -C <cwd> --json` (`--full-auto` was removed in Codex CLI 0.163) | `-s read-only` |
| codex (`--codex-review`) | `codex review` | `-c model="..."` when a model is set; run from `<cwd>` (no `-C`, `-m` or `--json` in 0.163); the prompt names the git scope, because the scope flags can't be combined with a prompt | `-c sandbox_mode="read-only"` |
| gemini | `gemini` | `-p <prompt> --skip-trust -o json` (`--skip-trust` is required for headless runs since Gemini CLI 0.65) | `--approval-mode plan` (read-only; `--sandbox` broke API calls on macOS in 0.65) |
| claude | `claude` | `--print --output-format json` | N/A (always sandboxed) |
No model flag is passed unless the caller sets one. Each CLI then uses its own current default. Every engine is asked for JSON, which is where the text, the model that answered and the token counts live: Codex `exec --json` prints JSONL events (`item.completed` with `agent_message` text or `error` warnings, `turn.completed` with usage; no event names the model, so the status line reports the `--model` argument or the pin in `~/.codex/config.toml`), Gemini `-o json` prints one object (`response`, `stats.models` keyed by the model that answered, `warnings`, `error`), and `claude --output-format json` prints one object (`result`, `is_error`, `usage`, `modelUsage`). `codex review` prints a text report, which `codex-review-adapter.py` turns into adv's finding format. Tested with Codex CLI 0.163.0 and Gemini CLI 0.65.0 (October 2026).View the complete source on GitHubagent-dev

# Agent Dev Skill
This skill helps create production-ready Claude Code sub-agent definitions following Anthropic's official specifications and best practices.
## Core Principles
### 1. Single Responsibility
Each agent should have ONE clear purpose. Avoid creating multipurpose agents that try to do everything.
**Good**: `postgres-expert` - PostgreSQL database management and optimization
**Bad**: `database-expert` - All databases (too broad)
### 2. Discovery-Optimized Descriptions
The `description` field is critical for Claude to discover when to use your agent. Include:View the complete source on GitHubcommand-dev

# Command Dev Skill
This skill helps create production-ready custom slash commands following Anthropic's official specifications.
## What is a Slash Command?
A **slash command** is a user-invoked reusable prompt stored as a Markdown file. Unlike skills (model-invoked) or agents (complex AI assistants), slash commands are:
- **User-triggered**: Explicitly invoked with `/command-name`
- **Template-based**: Expand to prompts with placeholders
- **Lightweight**: Simple Markdown files with optional frontmatter
- **Quick access**: Fast way to reuse common instructions
## Commands vs Skills vs AgentsView the complete source on GitHubhook-dev
When your agent uses it
Use this skill when creating or refining Claude Code hooks. Hooks are shell commands that execute at specific lifecycle events (tool use, prompt submit, notifications, session events). Helps design event handlers for notifications, formatting, logging, feedback, and permission control. Automatically invoked when user requests "create a hook", "add automation", "event handler", "workflow automation", or mentions hook development.

# Hook Dev Skill
This skill helps create production-ready Claude Code hooks following Anthropic's official specifications.
## What are Hooks?
**Hooks** are user-defined shell commands that execute at various points in Claude Code's lifecycle. They provide:
- **Deterministic control**: Ensure actions happen automatically, not relying on LLM decisions
- **Workflow automation**: Format code, run linters, log commands
- **Custom notifications**: Alert when Claude needs input
- **Permission systems**: Block sensitive file modifications
- **Feedback loops**: Validate code changes against conventions

Create MCP servers — multi-tool services exposed via Model Context Protocol. Use this skill whenever users mention MCP servers, building servers, server scaffolding, tool registration, or want to package tools for distribution via uvx or npx. Also use when the conversation involves stdio transport, server lifecycle, or grouping multiple related tools into a service. Covers Python (FastMCP) and TypeScript (@modelcontextprotocol/sdk) patterns, packaging, and testing. Activate for: - "Create an MCP server" - "Build a server with multiple tools" - "Package tools for uvx/npx" - "Set up stdio transport" - "Register tools on a server" Do NOT use for: - Creating a single standalone tool function (use mcp-tool-dev) - General REST API development - Claude Code agents, skills, or commands

# MCP Server Creation
Create multi-tool MCP servers in Python or TypeScript that follow the Model Context Protocol specification and Anthropic's tool design best practices.
## What MCP Servers Are
An MCP server is a process that exposes one or more tools (and optionally resources and prompts) over the Model Context Protocol. Servers communicate via stdio transport — they read JSON-RPC from stdin and write responses to stdout.
MCP servers are how you package and distribute tool capabilities. An LLM client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, etc.) starts the server process and calls its tools.
## When to Create a Server
- You have **2+ related tools** that share configuration, state, or domain
- You want to **distribute tools** for others to use (via `uvx` or `npx`)View the complete source on GitHubmcp-tool-dev

# MCP Tool Creation
Create individual MCP tool functions that follow Anthropic's tool design best practices and the Model Context Protocol specification.
## What MCP Tools Are
An MCP tool is a single function exposed via the Model Context Protocol that an LLM can invoke. Each tool has:
- **Name**: Verb-noun format (`search_documents`, `get_user`, `create_issue`)
- **Description**: 3-4 sentences explaining what the tool does, when to use it, and when not to
- **Input schema**: JSON Schema defining parameters with clear descriptions
- **Handler**: Async function that processes the input and returns MCP content blocks
Tools can be standalone (single-file utilities) or part of an MCP server (grouped related tools).

Use this skill when creating or refining Claude Code skill definitions. Skills are model-invoked capabilities that Claude activates autonomously based on context. Helps design focused skills with discovery-optimized descriptions, proper directory structures, and supporting resources. Automatically invoked when user requests "create a skill", "make a capability", "add autonomous behavior", or mentions skill development. Ensures skills follow Anthropic specifications with clear activation triggers.

When your agent uses it
Central brand and style registry manager for the knowledgeware plugin (formerly "steez"). Houses the canonical brandbook .md files, derived token JSONs, and brand assets (logos, wordmarks) that the slideware, knowledgebase, and chartware skills resolve named brands/styles from. Load this skill when (a) a consumer skill needs to resolve a brand/style referenced by name (e.g., "use the AcmeCorp brand", "in the AAB style"), (b) the user asks to add, import, derive, edit, or audit a brandbook, or to set or change the default brand/style, (c) the user wants to derive a style from a live website or import one from a file/Google Drive, (d) the user wants brand assets like logos gathered for a brand, or (e) the user says "brandware" or "steez". Do NOT trigger on generic mentions of branding, marketing, or visual design that aren't about applying or managing a stored visual identity.

# brandware — Brand & Style Registry
One registry, many consumers. Brandbooks live here once; slideware decks, knowledgebase sites, and chartware diagrams all render from the same visual identity.
**Plugin root**: `${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT}` — two directories above this skill's folder (`../../` from here). All paths below are relative to it.
> **Needs the knowledgeware plugin.** The registry and its scripts live at the plugin root. If `../../scripts/list-styles.js` doesn't exist, the skill was installed on its own (for example from a skills directory): tell the user it needs the whole plugin, `/plugin install knowledgeware --marketplace andisab/swe-marketplace`, and stop.

Generate enterprise-grade diagrams and data charts in three media — Mermaid (text-first diagrams), hand-authored inline SVG (pixel-perfect charts and figures for HTML embedding), and draw.io via the drawio MCP (editable diagram artifacts) — with a curated visual style system wired to the plugin's brand registry. Use this skill whenever the user asks to create architecture diagrams, reference architectures, system design diagrams, infrastructure diagrams, flowcharts, sequence diagrams, org charts, technology stack visualizations, or any technical diagram that should look professional and consistent — and also for DATA charts (bar, line, area, donut, scatter, sparkline, KPI/stat tile, heatmap) drawn as SVG for web pages, docs, or standalone files. Also trigger when the user mentions "chartware", "pretty-arrows" (this skill's former name), "draw.io", "drawio", "mxGraph", "mermaid", "SVG chart", or asks for diagrams in the style of their reference architecture. The skill picks the medium by fit or honors the user's explicit choice.

# chartware — Diagrams & Data Charts (Mermaid · SVG · draw.io)
One skill, three media, one visual identity. Diagrams and charts resolve their colors from the same brand registry as slideware decks and knowledgebase sites.
## Choosing the medium
**An explicit user request always wins** ("as a mermaid diagram", "in draw.io", "as SVG"). Otherwise pick by fit — and say which medium you chose and why:
| Medium | Choose when | Strengths | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Mermaid** | The diagram lives in markdown, a knowledgebase page, or an artifact; speed and text-maintainability matter more than exact layout | Renders natively in most targets; diffable; cheap to iterate | Auto-layout only — no pixel control; weak for data charts |
| **SVG** | Data charts (default medium for them); polished figures embedded in HTML deliverables; standalone `.svg` files; print | Total control; themes with the page (light/dark); no dependencies | Hand-computed layout; not end-user editable |
| **draw.io** | The user will open/edit/maintain the diagram; large layered reference architectures; a `.drawio` artifact is the deliverable | Real editor round-trip; the full curated style catalog | Needs the drawio MCP; heavier iteration loop |

Generate professional multi-page HTML knowledge bases and study guides for software engineering, data science, and AI/ML work — field guides, solution handbooks, service catalogs, team runbooks, onboarding documentation, and technical study resources. Produces self-contained, offline-capable HTML sites with sidebar navigation, scrollspy TOC, light/dark theming, Mermaid diagrams, scenario drills, and verification stamps, written in a rigorous senior-engineer voice. Activate ONLY when the user explicitly invokes this skill by name ("/knowledgebase", "use the knowledgebase skill to...") or by its former names "study-guide" / "knowledgeware", or unambiguously asks to BUILD one of this skill's deliverables — a field guide, handbook, runbook site, or multi-page HTML study guide / reference site. Do NOT activate merely because the word "knowledgebase" or "knowledge base" appears in conversation — e.g., mentions of the Joplin knowledge base, Memory MCP, or querying/updating some existing knowledge base are NOT triggers.

# Knowledgebase: Technical Knowledge-Base Generator
Generate a **professional-grade, multi-page HTML knowledge base** — the kind a senior architect keeps open in a browser tab and trusts in front of a customer. Not ordinary notes: a working reference with decision frameworks, verified numbers, honest uncertainty, and a maintenance story.
## Operating persona and tone
Write as a **seasoned senior solutions architect / staff engineer** producing a reference for peers:
- **Engineering methodology over business prose.** Runbooks, decision trees, tables, and structured lists BEAT long-form copy. Context-setting is fine but brief.
- **Clear, substantive, factual.** No filler, no cheerleading, no "in today's fast-paced world."
- **Decision-first ordering.** Every page runs **big decisions → medium decisions → fine detail**. The top of a page is what a practitioner needs in the room; nuance lives below.
- **Runbook-first openings.** Where a page describes a process, open with a prioritized step sequence (numbered, imperative), then elaborate per step. Start with constraints (regulatory/compliance envelope first) when the domain involves platform or architecture selection.
- Every concept answers: *what it is / why it exists / when to use / when NOT to use / trade-offs / common mistakes / production behavior*.
- **Honest uncertainty wins.** Anything not confirmed against a primary source is marked `(unverified)`. An honest gap plus a verification plan beats a confident wrong number. Never invent figures.View the complete source on GitHubslideware
When your agent uses it
Create visually rich, style-driven slide decks in two output formats: PowerPoint (.pptx via pptxgenjs + React icons) and HTML (single-file Reveal.js deck). Use any time the user asks for a slide deck, presentation, pitch deck, training module, keynote, .pptx file, HTML/web presentation, Reveal.js deck, browser slides, or slides to share via link — or wants slides generated from a brief/outline, references a 'style' or 'brandbook' (a .md/.css visual identity), a 'sample deck' to mimic, or asks to update/iterate on an existing deck (rebuild approach). Trigger on words like 'deck', 'slides', 'presentation', 'pptx', 'pitch', 'keynote', 'reveal', 'HTML deck', 'web presentation', or whenever a .pptx (or slide-deck .html) appears as input or output. Styles resolve from the knowledgeware plugin's shared registry — 5 generic defaults plus brandbooks (in styles/brands/ or the user's KNOWLEDGEWARE_BRANDS_DIR) managed by the brandware skill — so decks share one visual identity with knowledgebase sites and chartware diagrams. If the output format (PowerPoint vs HTML) is not stated and cannot be inferred from context, ASK the user before building.

When your agent uses it
Runs the research-team plugin's multi-agent research pipeline end-to-end from the main thread: decomposes a topic into 2-5 subtopics, spawns parallel research-team:research-specialist subagents for each, verifies their output on disk, then spawns a research-team:research-report-writer subagent to synthesize the final report. Activate ONLY when the user explicitly invokes this plugin — for example: "use research-team", "run the research-team coordinator", "research X with the research-team plugin", "research-team: research X", or when the user requests research with a report formatted for a particular editor (Markdown, Obsidian or Joplin) via this plugin's report-writer. Do NOT activate for generic research requests. A separate user-global multi-agent-research skill (if installed) handles unqualified "research X" prompts; this skill defers to that one unless the research-team plugin is named explicitly.

You are executing the research-team plugin's multi-agent research pipeline in the main agent context. Your job is to orchestrate — never research or write yourself.
> **Needs the research-team plugin.** The researchers and the report writer are the plugin's agents. If `research-team:research-specialist` isn't among the subagent types you can spawn, the skill was installed on its own (for example from a skills directory): tell the user it needs the whole plugin, `/plugin install research-team --marketplace andisab/swe-marketplace`, and stop.
**CRITICAL RULES:**
1. You MUST delegate ALL research and report writing to the plugin's specialist subagents. You NEVER research or write reports yourself.
2. Keep your own responses to 2-3 sentences max. No greetings, no emojis, no meta-commentary.
3. Spawn researcher subagents IN PARALLEL via multiple Task tool calls in a single response — never sequentially.
4. Wait for ALL researchers to return before spawning the report-writer.
5. Trust nothing you didn't verify. Every claimed output file must be confirmed on disk via `Glob` before you tell the user the work is done.
## Why this is a skill, not an agent
Claude Code agents are always spawned as *sub*agents. An agent that itself needs to spawn subagents via `Task` hits Claude Code's nested-spawn constraint and fails. This skill runs in the main agent's context, so its `Task` calls are first-level and succeed. Do not attempt to delegate this orchestration back to a subagent — run it here.View the complete source on GitHubreport-formats

Output formats and report templates for the research-team plugin's reports. The research-report-writer agent loads this skill for every report. It also applies when a user asks for a research report, technical survey, decision brief, landscape scan, what's-new digest or source summary in a particular editor's format: plain Markdown (the default, for VS Code, Cursor and GitHub), Obsidian or Joplin. Do not load it for Joplin or Obsidian tasks that aren't research reports.

A report is a Markdown file that reads correctly wherever Markdown renders. Pick the format profile from the request, then the report type from what the research produced.
## Format profiles
Choose the profile from the words in the request. "For my Obsidian vault" picks Obsidian, "for Joplin" picks Joplin, and anything else picks Markdown. When the request states a folder to save into, use it instead of the default `~/Documents/Claude/Research/reports/`.
**Markdown (default).** GitHub-flavored Markdown with no editor-specific syntax. It renders the same in VS Code, Cursor, GitHub and most note apps. One `#` title, `##` sections, `###` subsections. Links as `[text](url)`. Tables for comparisons. Plain Markdown only: HTML and front matter belong to the editor profiles.
**Obsidian.** Markdown plus a YAML properties block at the top, so the vault can index the note:
